Program Note: "Sea Trilogy" captures the story of a sailor on a fantastical ocean voyage. "Chanty" embodies the young sailor's fears, hopes, and dreams associated with embarking on a long, arduous journey. "Sinking Starlight" captures the serene beauty of a still, sparkling sea in the middle of one peaceful night, as it reflects the stars above like a mirror. The pounding rhythms and energetic bursts in "Land Ho!" illustrate the excitement of discovery.
